Have to agree with him -- in the ad the righteousness of the green enforcers is never questioned. If the intent was to be purely derisive, it would have been a big behemoth truck (like, oh, I don't know, a 2005 GMC Canyon from Wrentham ... or at least Audi's own oversizer, the Q7) ripping away from the check point, not the Clean Diesel. The protagonist wins because he's satisfying the Green Police, not thwarting them. I thought the spot was hilarious. I like David Roberts and his column on Grist.org.
